DHL Singapore

I've been waiting for my supposedly "1 Business day" iPad mini 2 that I got it online via Apple store
I thought everything would go smoothly and I'd get it on the 11 (I got it online on the 10)
DHL provides tracking system and so I waited for a day at home but no news except:

"With delivery courier"

Assuming that I will get the goods today! (11 Dec)
I gave up and called up DHL to know if they will be coming at all (Called at 7.10pm)
I asked the guy on the phone to find out and so he tried to call the courier
Without any luck, he did not pick up the phone calls so he left a message to the courier

I reminded him to make sure the courier calls me in order to get to the building
Only tenants with card are allowed to be in the building
It is absurd that courier did not even try to call me and just left!
In that case, DHL shouldn't state:

"Delivery attempted; Recipient not at home"

Fact is that I was home THE WHOLE DAY just for it!
They did not even attempt to call me
What is the use for apple store to ask for my phone number if courier didn't bother to call?
Courier did not even knock on my door to even say I'm not home

To make couriers and DHL at ease, they should improve their service
It is just a call away and they have to understand that we need to be home to receive goods
They can't just let us wait and wait forever at home
Worst part: I still didn't receive the goods after staying home all day long!

I hope tomorrow I'll receive it... seriously!

I want to go back to Perth (PART THREE)

Our last day in Perth was another beautiful day
Blue sky, Sunny day and wonderful day well spent

We checked out early from our place and decided to find the London Court
One of the attraction in Perth city
It was a little alley of London
Very tiny and it took only a minute to walk through it all

We didn't spend much time in there as it was pretty crowded
After checking through London court we went to the famous fish market!
The Fish Market at Fremantle was very crowded
But I'd say not as crowded as the one in Sydney

It was easy to find a spot to sit but mostly under the shade with no sun light :(
It was pretty windy and cold with no sun
I was on the look out for seat with umbrella!
While waiting for the available sunny side seat
I was waiting on any available seat and after waited for a few minutes
Some people left and so i moved from one seat to another
Finally, I got the best spot!!!

We enjoyed the view and the sun
I enjoyed it with the food and a glass of hot Chai Latte
 Seagulls were EVERYWHERE!
They often took opportunity to steal your food
AS SOON AS you got off the table
They were as fast as lightning bolt!
There were a few Fish market in Fremantle
I have to say that we enjoyed more of Sydney's fish market
Perth and Sydney has differences when it comes to fish market

Perth is more like a restaurant
(We went to Kaili's Fish Market)
Sydney is like a real fish market
They have simply EVERYTHING in Sydney
Sashimi, Oysters and a whole lot!

Perth has a very limited menu...
But we enjoyed the day just relaxing and chatting away

After dunked down tons of fries, fish and prawns
We headed to the famous Kings Park Botanic Gardens

I have to say that we love it!
It was our few hours left in Perth and we refused to leave!
We drove up to the top and Kings Park is way too big to explore in such a short amount of time

So we decided to just find a spot
Take some shots!
And nap...
What a comfortable grass to be on...
We didn't want to leave :(

It was really hard to leave Perth
We wished we had more time to do more things
I was very happy I get to taste such delicious food in Perth
Finally, I got to witness the amazing mother whale and baby whale
(Not up close but STILL)

Thank you PERTH and we will be back!
Hopefully not too long :D

P.S: I'll be needing a new pro camera to take even better photos!

I want to go back to Perth (PART TWO)

On our forth day we had a long drive to Margaret River for some wine and lunch
I made a reservation online when I was in Singapore
Just in case if it was a busy vineyard

The day was pretty gloomy with a lot of cotton balls in the sky
(As seen on photos)
After a long drive, we took a break and stumbled upon a herd of cows
There were many flies around them which I'm sure was pretty annoying to them
They were all facing back and as soon as we approached
ALL OF THEM...
Were staring at us...
It was pretty creepy
It was as if they wanted to attack us but there were fences
And so we left the herd and found an old man selling coffee :)
An old man doing his business making coffee for riders ;)
We didn't stay long due to the crazy flies manifesto
Thanks for working so hard selling humble black coffee!
The sky was getting darker and cloudier when we arrived Voyager Estate
I was so happy we arrived (Finally!!!)
It took us around 3 hours or so just to get to VE
And I'm glad I picked VE and spent minimum 3 hours just in one Vineyard
The compound was amazingly beautiful with tons of roses around
It was also very spacious and not as crowded as usual vineyards we've been in Sydney
Rose petals were scattering around the grass
If only the sky was blue...
Nonetheless, we enjoyed the scenery ;)

We went to the restaurant for our 12.45pm reservation
I would say service in Voyager Estate wasn't pleasant
But I have the say the food was delicious with the capital D!

Voyager Estate provides ala carte and menu course lunch
(With/Without wine : Different price)

We weren't sure if we wanted course menu so they assigned us a two-seat table
The area wasn't as pleasant
(We requested the corner 4 seater table but we were assigned elsewhere)
When we changed our mind after browsing through the menu
We decided to take course menu instead
They were pleased to inform us that we could move to the "Initial requested" table

I guess what you paid for gets you to move to a better table too...
And that's just awkward because we were from one table to another and another
Anyways, we were also given a complimentary sparkling wine
They were DELISH!!!
The course menu is called "The Discovery Menu"
There were 6 menu and we had so much fun tasting every one of them
We were also given a free postcard with every menu we had
Everyone of them has its own stories to tell
I've forgotten all the names but enjoy the photos!
Just by looking at them, brought me back to Voyager Estate again

We had 2 desserts!
One was from the menu and the other was complimentary
How amazing was that!!!

After our awesome lunch we decided to go to the front building to taste and buy some wine
The place was empty and we would like to have a taste some of the wine
The lady wasn't very pleasant and helpful
She took out 2 glasses of wine, pour one for my partner
But didn't pour one for me...
Despite the empty glass next to his glass

She asked me if I wanted one as well...
DUH!!!

When second wine came, she didn't even change nor wash the glass with water
She poured down the second wine to the same glass...
Why on earth would she do that?

Despite all these weird service, we bought 2 bottles of wine
All we could say: Hopefully VE can improve with their poor service
Apparently there were many complains with their services
Perhaps we are not the type of customers they were looking for...

I want to go back to Perth (PART ONE)

Just a couple of months back, My partner and I visited Perth for the first time
We were there for 4 nights and it was way too short :(
We visited couple places in Perth and we had so much fun

From amazing dinner to whale watching and lots of other activities!

Our first night (we arrived pretty late), we were starving and was looking for food
We drove around Mount Lawley (where we stayed) and stumbled upon this crowded restaurant
Bivouac Canteen and Bar is a must place to visit for a good food and service
We ordered a little too much and I ended up passing the food to my partner
Bad HABITs!
The weather in Perth was a blessing, we had such a beautiful day cruising around
I had my itinerary with me and we headed to Araluen Botanic Garden
It took us around 40 minutes to get there
With such a beautiful day, We didn't mind how long it took us to drive :)
Along the way to Araluen, we spotted one wild kangaroo (what a beautiful sight)
I thought we would be seeing more but that was it

Araluen is beautiful with tons of roses everywhere
We also spotted duck and ducklings in the pond dipping in the water
How ADORBS!

Things we didn't know, when we arrived end of october there were tons of flies around
It was almost the beginning of summer but the night was still very cold (16degree)
Most of the time especially outside perth city, there were many flies following us everywhere
It was very annoying and I hate flies!
There are many beaches in Perth to visit
Famous one are Scarborough, Frementle, Cottesloe, City Beach and so on
I thought perhaps the famous one are easy to find/go, we would start off with somewhere far
To have itinerary is always a good idea to know what to do the next day
Don't you think?
So we went to Burns beach and it took us about 30 minutes to get there
Traffic in Perth is amazing
Everybody drives in a good phase
No one was ever racing in highway like most asian countries haha!
We enjoyed the sunny day with breezy weather
It was so good I could taste the sea :)
(I WANT TO GO BACK)

Having a car in Perth is a MUST!
Without it, you have no freedom to go wherever you want
Public transport are not as convenient as Sydney
PLUS, cab fare are very expensive!
Just a quick note, do yourself a favor and get a driving license ;)
After a good tour of the day (it was an easy first day)
We went to Must Wine Bar, I made an appointment before we got to Perth tho
We were actually very happy with the food
It was rather $$$$$ but the portion was big (Aussie style/size)
I always ended up passing the food, once again!
Ordered a bottle of red with amazing dessert to share
We ended the night with happy tummy!

On a sunday morning, we got up pretty early to get to Hillary's Harbour
We arrived a tad too early actually :D
I refused to be late so we got up early and waited in the car at the harbour
How silly of me...

Yet another sunny day but the sea was rather choppy :(
The last time we went for such activities was when we were in Sydney
But instead of whale, we had dolphin watch but to our disappointment;
There was no dolphins at all :(
We took Mill's charters to do whale watch because we were guaranteed to see whale!
The watch lasted about 4 hours...
A VERY LONG HOURS INDEED...................!
Our an hour ride to the whale watch, we bumped at a whale carcass (Yes, as seen on TV)
The sea was so choppy that our boat was going side ways... It was terrible
But I wasn't feeling sick (Just yet)
The carcass was smelling so bad; after inspection, we took off again to find live whale
After a long journey trying to spot whales, I started feeling sick....
So sick I wish I could just let it out in the water but I required to do that in a paper bag
Mill's charters provides them, So don't worry!
You had no idea how tiring it was to gaze at the sea for so long with choppy sea...
In the end my body gave up and so I LET IT GO!

I felt little better and we finally spotted mother and baby whale
They were very shy... I wish to see them jumped off the water
Or at least wave to say Hello or goodbyes haha
Well, I guess at that moment I just want to go back to solid ground
I'm not as adventurous as others but I wish I was...
I felt so happy that the trip wasn't a waste of time gazing at the sea and get sea sick
It was worth the sickness haha...

After a crazy boat ride, It was time to just laze at Hillary's Beach with a pack of Sandwich
(Homemade sandwich ;))
